Home for a Time

My crazy little brother, Andrew. I got home to discover that he is missing his two front teeth. What a cutie!

The two greatest men in the world. I am proud to be called their sister and grandaughter.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Hope you wore green so that you did not get pinched! I have heard it said that it is funny that St. Patrick's day is a religious holiday and that most people celebrate by getting plastered. Ironic, no? I have been celebrating by having a relaxing day at home, mostly catching up on reading. It has been great. Have a blessed day!

Open Air Days

One day a week, usually Wednesdays, we go into the open-air at one the collages here in Michigan. Recently it has been the University of Michigan. What the day normally looks like is this: we get to the university around 10:30 and set up the sketch board. While we wait for the major let out time (about once every 50 minutes for 20 minutes) we pass out gospel literature to those we walk by and maybe engage in conversations. Once the let out starts up we gather around the board while one of the guys preach. After a cute introduction, it leads into the gospel. At the end, we talk with those who have stayed or pass out more literature. A little while later the same thing happens. We run into all sorts of people; Jewish, Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Muslims, Atheists, Philosophically weird people, and many more. It has been great to see the fruit from this work, from seeing people come to Christ to encouraging the Christians who are students. Personally, it has stretched me further than I ever thought possible. The simplicity of the gospel continues to blow my mind. We are here on this earth to share it with others. What a privilege! We appreciate your prayers especially on these days, not only for us, but those on the campuses who need Christ.

Snow, Snow, and more Snow

Yes! There as been a lot of snow up here. Being from Georgia, both Becca and I have had a great time playing in it and we get excited each time it snows. The phrase Becca uses the most is "It's so beautiful!" It is so true. I have missed the warmth of the South, though. You do not know how much you appreciate something until you do not have it. It was in the 70's on Tuesday this week, but they are calling for more snow today. Many have told me, "That's Michigan for you."
[Yes, that is Becca creaming me in the face with a snow ball.]
