Open Air Days

One day a week, usually Wednesdays, we go into the open-air at one the collages here in Michigan. Recently it has been the University of Michigan. What the day normally looks like is this: we get to the university around 10:30 and set up the sketch board. While we wait for the major let out time (about once every 50 minutes for 20 minutes) we pass out gospel literature to those we walk by and maybe engage in conversations. Once the let out starts up we gather around the board while one of the guys preach. After a cute introduction, it leads into the gospel. At the end, we talk with those who have stayed or pass out more literature. A little while later the same thing happens. We run into all sorts of people; Jewish, Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Muslims, Atheists, Philosophically weird people, and many more. It has been great to see the fruit from this work, from seeing people come to Christ to encouraging the Christians who are students. Personally, it has stretched me further than I ever thought possible. The simplicity of the gospel continues to blow my mind. We are here on this earth to share it with others. What a privilege! We appreciate your prayers especially on these days, not only for us, but those on the campuses who need Christ.

  1. The thing that really blows my mind is that since the Gospel is so simple and powerful, we must be very simple-minded to not share it more often and more freely. When we are too busy to tell the Good News, does God not wonder if we love Him and do we care about anybody but ourselves!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. YOU ARE GREAT EXAMPLES TO THE REST OF US.
