Small-town life...
Armada, the town I live in, has a population of roughly 1800. As you can imagine, it is quite charming, as well as being a farming community. I love being able to walk one street over to the post office, across the street to do my shopping, or just downstairs to the bookstore to say hey. Last night, right outside my apartment, there was a firetruck and two ambulances. From what I could tell (and yes, I stood out on the porch to watch to excitement) it was not that serious, but it was a big event for this small town! Also, tonight was the homecoming game at the highschool. We had a blast watching the parade from our windows and seeing the looks of glee on the children's faces. Yes, I would say a small town has its perks; I am beginning to love it.

Chick-fil-A
Today, we went to to collage we had not been to before, Oakland University, to recon it for possible open-air there. It was a good day and it looks like it will be profitable to go there for ministry, which we are planning to do in the near future. While there, I was walking to the bathroom, when suddenly something caught my eye. There, right to the left of me was a Chick-fil-A! Now, you must understand, they are a southern company, and you just do not have them up here! It was an "Express", but a legitimate one all the same. While I did not eat anything, it was a comfort just to see it and the boys sure enjoyed it! Just a little humorous story...

Psalms 62
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence, I shall not be greatly moved.
How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.
They only consult to cast him sown from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but curse inwardly. Selah.
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved.
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.
Trust not in oppression, and become no vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your hear upon them.
God hath spoken once; twice I have heard this; that power belongeth unto God.
Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
Today, Ross Rainey spoke an this passage. I was blessed; it was exactly what I needed to hear, so I thought I would share it.

Outreaches
On Tuesdays, the second year students at TEPSE this year are doing outreach, most of time at a state collage. On Wednesday, everyone, students and staff, go to a collage campus to preach in the open-air. Please be praying for us on this dates and also for the people we come in contact with, that they will be bothered by what we are saying and that they will come to Christ.
Chapel Picnic

The day before Labor Day, Calvary Bible Chapel held its annual picnic. We played games like ultimate and football, of course had great food, there was a fire once it turned dark, and the fellowship was sweet. I thought back to when I was at this picnic last year....I hardly knew anyone and I was trying hard to keep the few names I knew straight. I think I might have even left early. This year was radically different. My problem was not trying to find someone to talk to, but trying to talk to everyone after being gone all summer. We stayed late into the night and it was sad when it all ended. My brothers and sisters have become friends. I am glad the Lord has given me another year with them.

Observations from City Culture Day
As I sat on a bench in Battery Park, discreetly watching Ashlyn and Lynn interview people, the joyful squeals of children racing, jumping, and splashing in a fountain ran through my ears. Watching the content faces, the water spurting, and the drooping trunks of the little boys, a refreshing mist from the fountain came over me, via a slight breeze. Suddenly, another mist covered my face: tears from the realization that these young children will one day grow into men and women. Not only that, but the fact that these were souls for whom Christ died struck me as it never had before. Instantly, images from the day before flashed into my mind. Sixty plus children with hands stretched out singing, “I’m in-right, out-right”, the giggles and cheers from them while playing a puzzle, and the look of understanding and peace when seven-year-old Megan learned for the first time that Jesus took her place. Looking back to the children in front of me, an awesome sense of responsibility, to them and the world, overwhelmed me. The eternity of these children, people, could very well hinge on wither or not I faithfully share the gospel. While I sat there in the shade of an oak tree taking all this in, I pondered the these questions: What am I doing with my life? Who am I seeking to please; men or God? Do I care about the eternity of men? These questions deserve answers; answers that will take time, study, and much searching within myself. Afterwards, the errors that are found must be corrected.
