"Sarah Bug!"

My sister Sarah has been up here since October 6th, when she came up with my grandparents. My mom, Ashlyn, Caroline, and Andrew, are currently en route here and will be here for the rest of the week! I am so excited!! While I am in class in the mornings, Sarah worked on her school work and she also has gone in the open air with us. It is great having her here! She adds flavor and life like no one else can! it has been a great change up. I also have enjoyed getting to know her more....I was ignorant in thinking everything at home, including my siblings, would stay the same while I am in Michigan. I am privileged to have her for a sister and it an enjoyment to watch her grow into a beautiful woman of God! Below are just a few of the many pictures from our last week and a half together.

Tim Horton's!
Taking pictures just for the fun of it....

A walk on a nippy afternoon

Eastern Michigan University

Tom conversing with two friends; one a Lutheran, the other an atheist.

Today we went to Eastern Michigan University for the first time. This university is only about a 10 minute drive from the University of Michigan, but the atmosphere is worlds apart. We preached once, and there were a couple very good conversations. One conversation Brandon and I were involved in was with a lady named Billy. A very kind, caring woman, Billy practices Buddhism. Most of the time I just listened as Brandon talked with her....I found some of the things she was saying, very interesting. According to her, all roads led to a good place, maybe Heaven, and what the world needs is more love, compassion, and tolerance. We ended on good terms with her and gave her some gospel literature. Please pray that what we said will make sense to her and that she will not rest until she finds her rest in Christ.

Oakland University

This group of students seemed to come out of no where. After Tom finished preaching to essentially no one, they came up and asked what the painting was about. Chris took the opportunity to share the gospel with them and they all left with literature. We found out later they were all in a speech class and their teacher had sent them out to listen to us. We will take it!

Today, we (the TEPSE II students) went to Oakland University. It is only the second time we have preached there, but we are already starting to build relationships with people there. One girl recognized Becca from Armada! Becca was able to explain to her what we do and why we are here. Oakland is about 40 minutes away from Armada, is a commuter school, and has about 17,000 students on the rolls. Students, and some factuality, are open to discussions. Pray for the Word that was preached, the one-on-one, and the gospel literature that was passed out.

Look Who's Here!

My Grandparents and younger sister, Sarah, are up for a visit! Grandpa and Grandma will be going to visit some family here for the rest of the week, but Sarah will be staying for the next couple of weeks.
