It's in my head....

EVERLASTING glory unto Jesus be!
Sing aloud the story of His victory!
How He left the splendour of His home on high,
Came in love so tender, on the cross to die.

Yes! He came from heaven, suffered in our stead;
Praise to Him be given, Firstborn from the dead!
Jesus, meek and lowly, came the lost to save;
He, the Victim holy, triumphed o'er the grave.

Christ is Lord of glory, sing we now today!
Tell abroad the story; own His rightful sway!
Sing aloud, and never cease to spread His fame;
Triumph, now and ever, in the Saviour's Name.

Some old, some new

I got these via one form or another this past week. They all made me smile, so I thought I would share....I had lost some of the pictures from late this last spring. Apparently, I had put some on my friend's computer and this one above made me laugh. I *think* this was taken the week before TEPSE's graduation last week. Such good memories.....

When I got to my desk this morning, these where on it. :)) Calm down.... they were not from a guy, but where put there by Barb. With the cold outside, this have been a great reminder of spring to come.

This is "Sarah Bug" one of my younger sisters. This picture was taken about 12 years ago when our family made a trip to Jamestown. She no longer goes by the name Sarah Bug and all that cuteness has changed into beauty, but she it just as good at posing now as she was then!!

Painting Pottery with Anna and Christina

We will be getting our mugs back next week after they go through the fire, so I will *hopefully* get some more pictures up then!

This week has been a little unlike the "norm" for me with coming back from being gone so long and trying to get my head on straight. Maybe its the going through such the drastic change in weather? [Here's a side note, when in doubt of something, or if you do not want to take the blame for your actions, always blame the weather. People seem to loooove to talk about it anyways. :) ]
I don't know about the rest of you (bloggers, that is), but many times I get an idea for a blog in my head, but then never write about it or forget all my great ideas in the time it takes to get to the internet and write. This week seems to have had a lot of those moments, so I have decided to remedy that with a few brief highlights.
* I forgot how much I love Awana with my Cubbies. When 3-year-olds have not seen you for six weeks, drop what they are doing to run and give you a hug it makes. your. day. When I was hugging one sweet little girl, she touched my hair and asked. "Why are you wearing that hair?!" I have no idea what she meant by that, but it humored me.
* I have only fallen on the ice once...
* This week I started a class on video and editing with others from The Ezekiel Project at a local TV station. I think its going to be pretty fun and I am looking forward to everything that I am going to learn.
* I have been reading through the Psalms these past couple of weeks and writting down what they have to say about the character of God. [Someone advized my sister a few weeks ago that she should do that, I overheard and decided to do it myself.] One word to describe it would be refreshing. It has remined me that no matter what my problem is, the plight of the world, how confussing something might be, the sin in my life, God is trustworthy, there for me to lean on, and a despiser of sin. I hope that though this, I will learn more about what God hates, loves, cherishes, weeps, over, and more about who He is.
* I had a fun night with Christina last night. We watched a movie, but I was sooo hyper. Not sure why, but I should probably get to the bottom of it, so that it will not happen again. :)
*One of the highlights for next week will be a Distance Learning Program Residency here in Michigan.

There was more, but I cannot seem to think of it right now, so I will be signing off. Oh, and I am convinced that I will die my being penetrated somewhere on my body by one of those icicles in the picture up there^. Till next time...

Kat in a Hat

Obviously, I was in a bit of a goofy mood, but I had fun taking this pictures after the long day yesterday. In fact, I do love this hat....it was a gift from my mom this past summer, and I liked how some of the pictures turned out, so I decided to share them. Looking forward to spring when I can wear it for real!

A Winter Wonderland

I arrived safely back in Michigan yesterday afternoon. It is simply beautiful here...and cold! The picture above was from last evening and the picture below was what greeted me this morning when I went out to scrape off and warm up my car.

Apparently, a fresh six inches of snow covered the ground Sunday morning. It makes everything beautiful! I'm looking forward to a chance to get out and play in it!

...my boarding pass is printed and my ID is on hand...

...and my phone will be buzzing to attempt to wake me up in about six much-to-short-hours...

....yes my sabbatical in Georgia comes to a close tomorrow, as I am headed back to Michigan....

...and I am off to sleep.

Goodnight.
